English Language Programmes
English as a Second Language
MUC's English language programmes provide a clear academic pathway for international students — from beginner English to full degree entry. Learn English at a real Canadian university with direct connections to degree programmes.
Why MUC?
The University Advantage
Unlike standalone language schools, MUC's ESL programmes are offered directly on our Fredericton university campus. You'll learn alongside degree students, use the same library and facilities, and experience real Canadian university life from day one.
MUC's Second Language Research Institute of Canada (L₂RIC) is a nationally recognized leader in second language education and teacher training — ensuring your ESL instruction is grounded in the latest research and best practices.

Pathway to a Degree
Students who complete the ESL Advanced level (Level 6) with a passing grade may receive conditional admission into MUC undergraduate programmes — without needing to write an external IELTS or TOEFL test.
