Orientation Week

Six action-packed days designed to help you find your feet, meet your classmates, and feel at home before classes begin.

Day 1

Move-In Day & Welcome

Residence move-in, room tours, and RA meet-and-greet. Welcome reception at the Student Union Building for all incoming students and their families.

Day 2

Campus Discovery

Guided campus walking tours, library orientation, IT account setup, and MUC ID card collection. Academic buildings, health centre, and student services walk-through.

Day 3

Faculty Orientations

Faculty-specific welcome sessions with your Dean, faculty advisors, and upper-year student mentors. Academic planning and course confirmation.

Day 4

Club Fair & Social Events

Over 100 clubs and societies at the orientation Club Fair. Discover sports, cultural groups, academic societies, and student media. Evening social events across campus.

Day 5

Wellness & Services Day

Wellness Centre orientation, Financial Aid open house, Career Services intro, and international student additional support sessions. Evening bonfire and entertainment.

Day 6

First Day of Classes

The official start of the fall semester. Morning pep rally on the quad. Class schedules confirmed in MyMUC portal.

Before You Arrive

New Student Checklist

Complete these steps before orientation week to ensure a smooth start to your MUC experience.

Confirm your MUC offer of admission in the portal
Apply for residence housing (if applicable)
Submit your study permit application (international students)
Register for courses through MyMUC
Set up your MUC email account (@maguni.ca)
Purchase health insurance (international students)
Apply for a scholarship if eligible (deadline March 1)
Arrange travel to Fredericton, NB
Book airport welcome service if arriving internationally
Review your orientation schedule and RSVP

International Students

MUC's International Student Office provides a dedicated pre-arrival orientation and airport welcome service for all new international students. We'll meet you at Fredericton International Airport and get you settled on campus.

Residence Move-In

Residence move-in begins on the first day of orientation. Bring your confirmation letter, student ID, and a photo ID. Linen packages, storage bins, and welcome kits are available for purchase on arrival.

What to Bring

Essential items for your first week:

  • • Laptop/tablet for classes
  • • Health card (provincial) or travel insurance
  • • Bedding, towels, personal items
  • • Course materials (check MyMUC)
