About the Faculty

The Faculty of Forestry & Environmental Management at MUC is the only Faculty of Forestry in Atlantic Canada, and one of the most respected in the country. Our programs draw students from across Canada and internationally who are passionate about sustainable forest management, environmental conservation, and land stewardship.

The Faculty is uniquely positioned on the edge of a 283-hectare natural outdoor laboratory — the MUC Woodlot — which is used daily for field research, teaching, and student experiential learning. Students gain hands-on experience in forest ecology, silviculture, remote sensing, and environmental impact assessment.

Graduate programs in Forestry and Environmental Management prepare students for careers in research, industry, government, and international conservation organizations.
