MUC Expands Co-op Programme with 35 New Atlantic Canada Employer Partners

The Largest Co-op Expansion in MUC History
Mag University Canada's Career Services office has announced 35 new formal co-operative education partnerships with employers across Atlantic Canada — the largest single-year expansion of the MUC co-op programme since its founding.
The new partner organizations span five sectors: financial technology, healthcare administration, provincial government, clean energy, and digital media. They join MUC's existing roster of 85 co-op partners, bringing the total employer network to over 120 organizations.
What Co-op Means for MUC Students
MUC's co-op programme integrates paid, supervised work terms into the academic schedule for eligible undergraduate and diploma students. Students alternate between academic semesters and four-month work placements, graduating with up to 16 months of documented professional experience alongside their degree.
"Employers in Atlantic Canada are looking for graduates who understand how real organizations work," said MUC's Director of Career Services. "Co-op removes the experience gap entirely — students arrive as junior professionals, not fresh graduates."
New Sectors, New Opportunities
Notable additions to the partner network include a provincial Crown corporation focused on clean energy transition, two Fredericton-based SaaS companies, and a regional health authority seeking business analytics and IT talent. Full listings are available through the MyMUC career portal beginning May 2025.
Eligible students can apply for Winter 2026 co-op placements starting October 2025.
